In the industrial field, there are often customers who need to use the synchronous photography function in some scenarios. The synchronization requirement time accuracy reaches microseconds (us) level. Therefore, we have newly developed a synchronous photography system. This system uses multiple specially made USB2.0 cameras and specially made USB2.0 HUB. By connecting multiple cameras to USB HUB, then connecting USB HUB to a computer or embedded Linux device. At the same time, other general USB devices can be connected to USB HUB. Then, using CKSDK to control the synchronous photography of multiple cameras and obtain images through a simple function API.The total system is the same as the physical connection method of the general USB HUB plus camera, and does not require additional connections to other cables and interfaces, which is simple and convenient.The overall schematic diagram is as follows:

Synchronization principle

Use the hardware trigger function of industrial cameras to control the photo time through USB HUB.Because the time of controlling the photo shooting is controlled by hardware, the accuracy of synchronous photo shooting is very high, basically reaching less than 10us, which is higher and more stable than the traditional soft trigger method.This can meet some special scenarios with high accuracy requirements, such as multi-mesh synchronous photography equipment, multi-channel synchronous photography equipment, VR photography, AR photography, three-dimensional object modeling, aerial multi-mesh pods, etc.
